Welcome CKS Families!
As a small school community, Christ the King School relies on parent volunteers in many ways.
Christ the King strives to keep tuition affordable through fundraising efforts. To this end, each family is required to provide a minimum of 25 hours of volunteer service to the school per year.
There are several ways to fulfill those volunteer hours through PTO Events. SignUp Links will be created to be a volunteer. Here’s a summary of events:
Lake Monsters Night: NOTE - Sadly this event cannot take place this school year. We pray it will be back next year!Join CKS at Centennial Field for an evening of fun! Student Voucher tickets (Yes, each current CKS student can attend the event for FREE!) were sent home the last day of school. CKS will receive a part of your purchase as a donation.
Wrapping Paper Sale: October 1 – PTO kicks off the school year with a long-time tradition of selling wrapping paper, gifts, greeting cards and treats! Information will be sent via email on October 1st.
Harvest Festival: NOTE - Sadly this event cannot take place this school year. We pray it will be back next year! The Parish and School come together to celebrate the fall season. Family activities include Horse-drawn carriage rides, candy apple making station, pumpkin contest, candy corn dig, arts and crafts table, face painting, and more! A delicious meal is provided. Cost is $5 per person (not to exceed $20 per family). This is not a fundraising event.
Cash Calendar: The Holiday Cash Calendar is a fun and easy way to raise money for CKS. Kick off date is November 12, 2021. Each student is asked to sell 10 calendars/tickets. These tickets go into a drawing that is held daily December 24 through January 31. You have the opportunity to WIN $25, $50, $100, or event $500!!! And, if each student sold 10 tickets, CKS would raise $19,000!!!
Barnes & Noble: Celebrate the holiday season at your favorite bookstore! The all-day (early December) event is a great opportunity to earn volunteer hours. PTO needs your help distributing CKS Vouchers throughout the day and running the Gift Wrapping Table. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Teacher Appreciation Fund. If you are out shopping, please stop by and listen to children’s stories and caroling throughout the day! **Many opportunities to log your volunteer hours at this event!**
Cabaret/Silent Auction: An epic 2-night event – March 18 and March 19 – with performances by all classes as well as one of our BIGGEST fundraisers. Come and enjoy all of the hard work our kids have put into their acts and plan to bid in the SILENT or LIVE Auction part of the evening. Purchase your tickets early, this is always a “standing room only” event that cannot be missed. **Many opportunities to log your volunteer hours – either in prep or at the actual event!**
Golf Tournament: Date To Be Determined. Who likes to golf?? PTO NEEDS YOU! PTO is looking for a Volunteer or Two to help organize this T-off event! Please contact PTO for more information.
