CKS Art at Home

Welcome to CKS Art Class version 2.0. Each week I will post a set of inspiring art ideas that may include videos, websites, tutorials and other resources in Google Classroom. I am sending you Classroom Codes to give you access. Please look at the resources I link in Classroom, reflect on what you found interesting. I will give you an art project / assignment / challenge to answer a visual or technical art question. In most cases you may choose your medium. I will also post material recipes so you won't have to buy art supplies. Having paper, some sort of drawing tool and a device capable of documenting your work and uploading it here in Google Classroom is all you really need.

I will respond to emails and be on Google Classroom from 9-10am and from 2-3pm Monday through Friday.

Here is a bonus assignment in order to develop a drawing practice in your daily life, take a sketchbook and draw at least one drawing every day. It will get you in the habit of creating. Most artists keep sketchbooks/ journals, it helps them remember ideas, explore and develop ideas and generate new ideas in order to most efficiently create new artwork. Sketchbooks also help artists stay organized. Like journaling it will bring you a sense of creating, mindfulness, accomplishment, and a little bit of control over things. Share out anything you create that you are excited about. Parents might want to keep their own sketch journals.
