Genevieve’s Fundraiser: This event generally kicks off during the first two weeks of school. This catalogue sale includes Vermont products, magazines, wrapping paper and other gifts.
Golf Tournament: This year’s even will be held on September 29 at Country Club of Vermont. Registration opens at 12:00 p.m. and is followed by a 1:00 p.m. shotgun start. The event includes a bag lunch and optional dinner. There are prizes for the winning foursome, as well as longest drive, closest to the pin, a putting contest and new this year – a Hole in One contest sponsored by Cody Chevrolet!
Hoe Down: This event is traditionally held on a Saturday evening in mid-October. Proceeds from the event support teacher appreciation. The event includes lots of fun activities for the kids. Last year, we merged the event with the Parish’s Harvest Festival and, given the success, we plan to do the same this year.
Barnes & Noble Gift Wrapping & Book Fair: Prior to this event, Barnes & Noble gives us flyers that we distribute throughout the school to family and to friends. On the day of the event (December 16), shoppers bring in the flyers and Christ the King receives a portion of those sales. To further advertise our school to the Barnes & Noble shoppers, we offer gift wrapping and entertainment throughout the day. We are looking for volunteers to help work through the day.
Cabaret & Silent Auction: This two-day event showcases our school’s talent through performances from each class, as well as individual acts. During the Cabaret, we hold a Silent & Live Auction. Auction items include restaurant gift certificates, tickets, gift baskets and more. We also have a live auction during Cabaret’s intermission. We are looking for volunteers to help solicit donations for the auction, as well as work the event.
Spring Challenge: Our students train for this event for several weeks leading up to it. Prior to the event, the students send letter to families and friends asking for sponsorship for their run during the Spring Challenge. After the run, the kids participate in various field day-type activities run by parent volunteers. There is also a live DJ, bouncy house, and visit from local mascots.
