Cabaret 2017: Broadway at CKS!
Individual act schedules can be found at the links below:
More than 20 years ago “Dinner Theater” was born. It was created to give our students a place to learn how to interact with their peers, promote a spirit-building event and showcase their individual talents. Through the years “Dinner Theater” was transformed into what is today known as “Cabaret/Silent Auction”. This year’s theme is “BROADWAY AT CKS”. Our entire student body participates in either singing or dancing. This wonderful event occurs Friday, March 24 and Saturday, March 25. Friday, March 24 will see our odd numbered grades participate (PK, Bridge, 1st, 3rd etc). On Saturday, March 25 even numbered classes (PS, K, 2nd, 4th etc). Our 8th grade class will participate both nights.
Pretty soon our halls will be filled with music, so please mark your calendars for a very special performance. The show will start at 6:30.
Our students are also encourage to display their individual talents through a live performance either singing, playing the piano, dancing etc.. either by themselves or with other students. A permission slip must be signed by a parent/guardian. Individual/Group Acts will not be more than 2 minutes in length. If you need your music cut, please see Mr. Kevin Laverty on Wednesdays after school. Individual Acts will be reviewed by the Director on Tuesday, March 14 (Library) for Singing acts and Thursday, March 16 (Music Room) for Dancing/piano/drums).
Music must be cut by these dates.
If you have any questions, please send Mrs. C an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
More information concerning tickets and “Individual Acts” will be coming in the following weeks.
